If I begin to count the milestones in my writing journey, and have to choose one story that gave me more than I could ever ask for, then that has to be Spark and Spice.
Like all other stories, it is a story too close to my heart. But unlike others, it loves me more.
It has given me so much that my heart fills with gratitude.
From the first chapter posted at Wattpad, the introduction of characters to the last update, or while reposting on this blog, I’ve only gained and gained more.
I met amazing people online… most of my readers through this story. Some were from before but maximum joined me during this story. I made so many friends online who are not only friends but a part of my life now. While writing and posting this story, I rediscovered myself in many ways. It introduced me to social media.
Given a choice, I would have let it remain online for everyone to read and treasure, for life. But the way my stories were copied on Wattpad I needed to make sure that each one of them is registered in my name and then whoever wants can keep it.
Once again, as I edit it to be released as paperback and ebook, my joy of reading it again, knows no bounds. I’m the biggest fan of my stories 😊
I believe that stories write themselves. Writers are only a medium.
I’m so glad that Spark & Spice chose me to be its medium to connect with the world.
In this space, I will be telling you more about the new Spark & Spice and its journey into publication.
~ All those who have read it before know how Valentine’s Day is an integral part of the first few updates of the story. The story begins on Valentine’s Day. So, I’m trying my best that it releases on or before 14th Feb 2021.
~ It will be a 3 part series. Part 1 will release first. Later followed by new parts after few months.
~ The main lead protagonists are named Virat Malhotra and Niyati Reddy.
I’ve tried to keep them as close to their personalities with a familiar ring to their names 💖
~ A novel means better and crisp dialogues, no repetition, better editing, proof reading and a smooth flow.
Before this, I know how I had to edit my debut novel The Masquerade (click here to read more) content wise to fit into a 498 pages(paperback) and 390 pages (ebook). Few chapters at the end had to be rushed because I was going above and beyond the word limit. Similarly, I retained few chapters as such as I didn’t want to disturb them. That is why it took a long time and a struggle on my part to make it presentable. But since I hadn’t written the end before, I went ahead and did it. It was an amazing experience for me.
~ This time, I don’t want to disturb anything in this beautiful story, other than add more dialogues, add scenes, insights into their personalities, their point of view, and the city. I didn’t delete anything. Only added more.
And to avoid messing with page count and write under pressure, I divided the book in 3 parts – A series.
Win win situation for us as now there is more to read.
~ So, to begin this journey and end the year on a high note, I’ll be announcing the first contest of Spark and Spice.

For me it is the way the person treats people around him. The way he cares about the people around him. Near and dear ones but most importantly those younger than him and those unknown to him or her. And those who cannot benefit him in any way. The selfless nature. The way someone thinks about others more than himself is the most beautiful and most important quality for me.
The SMILE!! Irrespective of from whom it is , whether from an utter stranger or a loved ones, it just fills up the heart. It’s so contiguous that one can never stop themselves from returning back the favour. It holds so much of positivity in it. It’s unbelievable how such a simple gesture can change one’s day to a wonderful one.

For me the best quality of any person is ability to love. Everyone have their own set of faults and accepting and loving that person with all persons makes you special….
So many relationships suffer because we expect the other one to behave in a particular way… if only we have ability to love other one as they are…

The most attractive quality in a person according to me is how they behave when they are angry.I really get attracted to people who still holds their values their beliefs even when they are angry.o believe that angry person shows his real personaly
Anger also makes us vulnerable but i believe that anger will never make us do things which arw not in us

It’s been great association starting as a reader from the books on Wattpad, although a late-starter on reading Fire & Ice but to stay updated with you on this blog while you moved with unprecedented vigour about your works even some copy cats tried their hands at stealing.
You proved time & again that – “A writer’s worth is their extremely sophisticated thoughts , feelings, emotions & imagination” with new books like Tangles & Ties, Beyond the Border and the latest short story.
I’m one of those mediocre reader who used to like but not comment on every chapter although I’ve loved every bit of it. Be it called a habit but wanted to pour my heart out since “SPARK & SPICE” has been the closest of all your writings to my heart as I was carried away with still the characters/places/situations still moving in my head.
Although all of your books have YOUR Magic in it, this stands atop making every letter of it very very dearest & special to me in many ways that can’t be expressed of.
What , according to you, is the most attractive quality in a person ?
As time flies, we grow & the definitions of the most known feelings and emotions tend to change giving a better meaning in their real sense for all of us. There’s no good or bad but just the perception & situation lead us to choose.
In life, there comes a point that will make us believe & feel that this can’t be any more best definition of the quality.
To me personally, the way a person treats other person in the same way he/she would want be treated attracts so much that it’ll multiply my reverence manifolds for the person.

For me it’s the way a person takes care of the other person. Be it emotional being there for their loved ones or taking care of the small small things which people usually don’t express thinking it is too silly or what would he/ she may think about it.. * Being humble!
We are living in an modern age, where people have lot of things to talk . From materialistic property to multiple talents, you can easily find a great variety of people. Whether it is intelligence, talent, creativity, money or beautiful faces. Or in this trend, when you get to meet someone who is humble, despite of being a big figure is something that attracts me a most.
And not only famous people, but whoever manages to stay humble in the World is something that attracts me to infinity. Which is why I strongly feel that being humble is the most attractive quality in a human and it makes a person look much more beautiful.

Now coming to your question , I feel a person look unreasonably attractive when he has the ability to not judge someone who is a lot more different than him , carries a completely different mindset and is someone who you don’t always find next door. The fact that you are showing acceptance towards someone who really doesn’t match your thoughts shows that you are growing up as a person . Your thoughts are no more revolved around yourself and you are comfortable with the fact that there exist people whom you won’t like or won’t share the vibe with but that doesn’t mean that they are wrong or anything.

I joined your writing journey from T&T days. There were already 10 chapters posted by the time i started reading it on Wattpad. Then I followed you here to this blog and there is no looking back ever since. I remember the ganesh chaturthi spark and spice marathon. I didn’t got a chance to read it on Wattpad. I was hell excited to read it ..and even today I am hell excited to read it again. I am so happy for you.
Coming to the question :
For me, there are two things that make a person attractive.
1. Sense of humour
I find a person attractive when he can make me laugh easily…it’s not a easy task to make me laugh considering that I am very serious person and don’t talk much.
2. Handling Criticism
My mom says that I carry my anger on my nose. The moment when someone criticise me..my anger switch flips. I find a person attractive when he handles criticism efficiently.

From my personal experience, I know how secure and happy one’s clan should be in order to be at your best potential. A quality that I always look forward to is the way a man treats his own family and then his friends. 🙂 Speaks volume about a person because you cannot put a shed on others’ hut when your own hut has been submerged under the rains.

According to me, a person should only be honest to himself and to others in every scenario. If he is honest then he will be trustworthy and if he is trustworthy then any kind of relation maybe it is friendship or love or only acquaintance will be worth having and true.
