As promised, I’m here with another post on #FridayConnect… A day when I try my best to connect with people who write to me and try to connect with me. I love you all dearly.
Whether or not, I’m able to reply to you on my other posts, emails, messages, or on other social media, but this one place, #MyCorner, is a place where I promise that I will always, always reply to you… otherwise, there is no reason to have this corner especially for us!!
It’s Friday again… and what a day it is … It’s Valentine’s day!
It’s a day to talk about love, express love and I can see love is in the air. So, why don’t we talk about love… So much has been said about love… poets have written poems, sonnets, songs serenaded to their loved ones… painters have painted love in abstracts… people have crossed miles in search of love and authors have written books… It has been the most inspiring emotion for all artists and non-artists alike…
I’ve always wondered how diverse are different versions, definitions, theories about love… None is all-inclusive or comprehensive… And still, each is complete in its own way…
So, let’s talk about what love means to each one of us…today, I’ll write in very short about what love means to me. And after that, I will be waiting to hear what ‘you’ think love is…
For me –
Love is a deep-seated feeling that brings you peace just by knowing that the other person is happy and safe. Love is the sense of security and warmth you get with someone that you will never need to find it in anyone else. Love is knowing that whatever mistakes I do, I will be accepted. I can say the truth and will be understood. I won’t have to defend myself. Love is respecting someone’s identity, existence, likes, dislikes, and individuality. Love is trust. Love is chemistry. An unexplained connection that is beyond the shallowness of lust and basics of attraction. Love is the inherent need to know that someone you love is fine and you will sacrifice anything in your capacity to ensure that. Love is the ability to tell someone – that you are independent to make your choices. Don’t worry, go ahead, I have your back! And should you fail, you can fall back, I’ll be there to hold you.
Those who are not in love, call it complicated. People in love – find it pretty simple… 🙂
So… It’s your turn now. Tell me, what does love mean to you. Write in the comment box below… I would love to read your views…
Go ahead. I’m waiting to hear from you…
Lots and lots and lots of love,
Happy Valentine’s Day!!
